Vodafone has increased its prices after the Commerce Commission raised the price Chorus can charge for its network.
It is the second telecommunications company to do so with Spark also raising its prices following the commission's decision on Tuesday.
Vodafone will increase the cost of broadband by $5 a month but said prices will be unchanged for those with landline-only connections or who were on the fibre network.
The commission's decision to raise prices was not in the best interests of consumers and New Zealand's pricing was already too high by international standards, Vodafone said.
The increases will take effect in March.
