The New Zealand sharemarket fell slightly on Tuesday, with the NZX50 index closing down 5 points (0.15%) to 3228 on turnover of $65.6 million.
Fletcher Building was down 8 cents to $8.32, Telecom unchanged at $2.14, and Contact Energy down 1 cents to $6.10.
Sky City Entertainment Group fell 7 cents to $3.31, while Sky Network Television rose 1 cent to $5.16.
Air New Zealand was down 1 cent at $1.29, while Auckland International Airport rose 1 cent to $1.92.
The Warehouse was up 5 cents to $3.98, but Kathmandu was down 4 cents to $2.40, and Hallenstein Glassons down 1 cent to $3.45.
Across the Tasman, the ASX 200 index was up 40 points, or just under 1%, to 4876.
In currency markets, the NZ dollar was at 70.72 US cents, 77.10 Australian, 46.85 pence, 63.87 yen and 0.5215 euro. The TWI was at 65.38.
