Bid to remove Vista Group directors dropped

Potentia has canned its bid to remove two sitting board directors at cinema software company Vista Group.

The Australian company is a 20 percent shareholder in Vista and has been trying to remove chair Susan Peterson and Kirk Senior and appoint one of its own representatives.

On Monday it cancelled its request for a special meeting with board members where the proposal was set to be discussed.

In a statement Potentia partner Amit Chand, who the company was trying the appoint to the board, said there has been "constructive engagement" with Vista.

"We've had positive in-person meetings with the chair and can see a constructive path forward.

"I want to thank Susan for her openness with us and look forward to working with her and the rest of the board"

Vista notified the market it had received notification from Potentia on Sunday that it would not go ahead with the special meeting or the resolutions proposed for consideration.
