A soft ball for babies and young children has been recalled on the basis it poses a choking risk.
The Anko Soft Activity Ball, which is a multi-coloured soft ball with rattles on two sides, was sold at Kmart stores and online from 3 August until 18 October this year.
New Zealand's Ministry of Business, Innovation and the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission issued recall notices for the product on both sides of the Tasman.
Consumers are advised the attached rattles which contain smalls balls could separate from the toy.
"There is a risk of serious injury or death from choking if young children put the small balls in their mouth," the notice said.
Anyone with this type of toy is advised to stop using it immediately and to return it to Kmart for a refund.
The toy has also been pull off the shelves nationawide across Australia due to the same concerns, according to 9 News.
