Samoa's Commonwealth Games medallists are likely to be given financial rewards when they return home.
Prime Minister Tuilaepa Sailele Malielegaoi said that it is a possibility and that he would discuss it with the Chairman of the TAB to see what could be done.
He then proceeded to call his secretary to make an appointment for him to meet the chairman, Oloipola Terence Betham, about the matter.
The government's long-standing policy is that only gold medal winners from the Olympic Games would get cash bonuses.
But the two golds and two silvers so far in weightlifting may have swayed him to perhaps reward the Commonwealth Games athletes.
"I am not saying we will do it but I'll meet with him tomorrow to explore the possibility," Tuilaepa said.
