Directed by Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert (Swiss Army Man), it tells the story of Chinese-American Evelyn (Michelle Yeoh), a laundromat owner who is struggling to keep both her business and family afloat.

Her husband Waymond (Ke Huy Quan) tries his best to remain positive with her, while their daughter Joy (Stephanie Hsu) constantly butts heads with Evelyn.

Suddenly, as she is being audited by the IRS, Evelyn discovers that she must connect with versions of herself from different parallel universes in order to help prevent the destruction of the multiverse.
