Two Kaikōura doctors have been honoured with a national award for their work during the immediate aftermath of November's earthquake.

The Peter Snow Memorial Award for rural general pactitioners has been given to Andrea Judd and Chris Henry.
Dr Judd, who has worked in Kaikōura for 25 years, was in Christchurch during the quake and insisted the St John Helicopter take her back to the town.
She said she was humbled by the award, but that other doctors, nurses, and emergency services were crucial to the succesful care of the Kaikōura community.
"A couple of UK doctors turne dup that were tourists there and said listen, you know we've got some skills would you like us to help.
"A charge nurse who was supposed to be starting that monday turned up half in her nighty,
"So everyone just turned up as they were and put everything into it.
