The Dominion Post leads with a picture of convicted murderer Shayd Robinson, 21. A jury in the High Court in Wellington on Tuesday night found him guilty of murder, after he stabbed a man to death during a road rage incident.

The Press leads with claims from restoration campaigners that as much as $150 million could be shaved off estimates to rebuild the Anglican Cathedral. The Great Christchurch Buildings Trust says it could be restored for about $67 million, compared to Church estimates which say it could take upto 220 million.
A battered and bloodied group of Christchurch High School girls helped each other crawl out the front door of a van after it flipped in the Lewis Pass. Six of the teenagers were flown to Christchuch hospital with serious injuries.

The Otago Daily Times says a Dunedin dairy owner faces prosecution after filling resealable bags with synthetic cannabis. The paper says the dairy owner told police he did not know he could not sell the product in that format.
South Dunedin cat owners are being warned to keep their pets inside, as police investigate fears a serial cat killer is stalking the area.
At least six cats have been found dead in the area, some left hanging from trees.
