Firefighters battled an early morning blaze at a petrol station in the Bay of Plenty on Wednesday.
It took two hours to put out the fire at the Caltex garage and workshop at Katikati, north of Tauranga.
Firefighters were called to the State Highway 2 garage, which was closed, just before 2am.
They say there was extensive damage, but no other properties were affected and no-one was injured.
A fire investigator will look into what caused the blaze.
