The New Zealand Transport Agency has released six new proposals for a controversial Auckland transport project, including one option that could cost up to $1 billion.
The East West Connections programme aims to link state highways and improve freight movement in the Onehunga area.
The proposals range from upgrading existing roads to building a completely new one along the northern side of Mangere Inlet.
Earlier this year, the agency shelved a proposal to build a motorway through Mangere, after a community outcry.
About 300 residential and commercial property owners who could be affected by the new proposals have been sent letters.
