Convicted child rapist Daniel Livingstone has appeared in court this morning, entering no plea to new charges.

Livingstone, who had been on the run for nearly 40 hours in the Hutt Valley before being captured yesterday, appeared in the Hutt Valley District Court by video link, and was remanded in custody.
He entered no plea to fresh charges of breaching the conditions of his release.
Livingstone said he did not want a lawyer and represented himself in court before the Justice of Peace, Geoff Fox.
Police and Corrections were alerted to his disappearance after his GPS monitoring bracelet was tampered with early on Thursday morning.
Livingstone was under an extended supervision order following his release from prison last year for the abduction and rape of a 10-year-old girl in Whangarei in 2006.
His GPS bracelet was tampered with early on Thursday morning and after several visits the police eventually broke into his Upper Hutt house to find him gone.
He was arrested yesterday afternoon in the suburb of Naenae following calls from the public.
Livingstone will re-appear in court via video link on Tuesday.
