Train services have resumed on the Kapiti Line north of Wellington.

The commuter trains had been replaced by buses between Porirua and Waikanae for about a fortnight while the trains were undergoing essential maintenance.
That led to delays for some commuters, when buses got caught up in holiday traffic.
KiwiRail said the work was completed yesterday evening.
