A bus carrying more than 30 people has come off the road near a Queenstown skifield.
A police spokesperson said emergency services were called about 5pm after the bus went into a ditch halfway up the Remarkables Ski Field access road.
St John ambulance said a four year old has been flown to Lakes Hospital with minor to moderate injuries.
It said three other patients in similar conditions were being taken there by road.
