Part of an Auckland road has been closed after heavy rain caused a large hole to open from underneath it.

Police said a two-metre by two-metre hole on Kingseat Road in South Auckland has been caused by rain undermining the road.
The road will be closed between Glenbrook Road and Pearson Road for three to four days.
Motorists are asked to follow the diversions in place.
