More than 100 people have marched through Wellington's Island Bay to protest a new solution to the suburb's controversial cycleway.
The protest was arranged by the Island Bay Residents' Association in response to the council's plan to change the cycleway.

Mayor Justin Lester has proposed a plan to raise the cycleway to the same level as the footpath.
Cars will be able to park up against the curb.
Resident's association chair Vicki Greco said locals spent hours in consultation with the council.
"The council, the mayor, actually, decided he had his own option he wanted, and he pushed that through and ignored everything the community had to say."
She said the community is looking to take legal action, and to complain to the Ombudsman and Attorney-General.
Ms Greco said the protest was not met by any opposition from other members of the public.
