A paraglider has died after hitting rock at Mount Maunganui.

Police said emergency services were called to the scene at at 3.25pm on Saturday.
The Rescue Co-ordination Centre and the Civil Aviation Authority will be notified and Victim Support is being offered to people at the scene, police said.
