A person has died after being hit by a train in Mount Albert in Auckland.
The accident happened near the Woodward Road rail crossing at around 1.30pm.
Woodward Road is closed between New North Road and Jersey Avenue.
The Western Line services will operate at a 20 minute frequency between Swanson and Avondale and between Morningside and Britomart.
Scheduled bus services are accepting AT HOP and rail tickets.
