A man has been arrested after at least nine women reported being assaulted in central Auckland this afternoon.

Police said the man was taken into custody on Elliott Street shortly before 3pm.
A number of women reported that they had been assaulted by what is believed to be the same man at various locations in central Auckland between about 1:30pm and 2:50pm.
Nine complaints have been made.
No serious injuries were reported.
Police are speaking to a number of victims and offering them support. An investigation is underway.
