The highway between Nelson and Blenheim has reopened to one lane, following a fatal crash earlier this afternoon.
The police say one person has died in the single vehicle accident just after 12.30pm on State Highway 6 on the Whangamoa Saddle, between Hira and Rai Valley.
The Serious Crash Unit is at the scene.
