The police have arrested a 36-year-old man in connection with the death of a West Coast woman this weekend.
Barbara Ann Quinn, who was 41, was found dead in a car in Greymouth yesterday, after initially being reported as missing.
The police say when they found the body on Notown Road, they also found a man nearby with moderate injuries.
He has now been charged with murder and assault.
He is due to appear in the Christchurch District Court tomorrow morning.
The police are still looking for anyone who was on Notown road in Greymouth between midday on Friday and 3pm yesterday.
