A man has died following an assault in a Hamilton street earlier this month.
The 27-year-old was taken to Waikato Hospital in a critical condition after the assault in Lilac Street in Melville on 1 December.
He died on Sunday.
A 19-year-old woman has been charged with wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.
The police say further charges are likely.
