A Napier rest home worker has tested positive for coronavirus, despite having no symptoms.
The Hawke's Bay District Health Board said the woman is a healthcare worker at Gladys Mary Rest Home.
She is the second worker to test positve there this week.
The DHB said the case was revealed because of surveillance testing of all staff members.
Several residents have already tested positive for the virus.
They were considered part of the Ruby Princess cluster because the first cases there came from a connection to the cruise ship.
