Police in Blenheim are investigating how a baby received head injuries.
The six-month-old boy was taken to Wairau Hospital in Blenheim by family members on Monday.
The police say the baby was found to have suffered head injuries and was transferred to Wellington Hospital.
His condition is described as stable.
