Wild weather is causing problems on roads around Waikato and Coromandel.
State Highway 25 between Tairua and Whitianga is closed due to flooding, while downed power lines have closed State Highway 2 north of Paeroa.
The Transport Agency said debris and surface flooding is affecting other roads around the region.

A heavy rain warning is in place for the Coromandel Peninsula and strong winds are also forecast.
With high tide at 4pm this afternoon, the Transport Agency says more roads may need to close later today.
