Police have arrested a man in relation to fires at two Christchurch churches and a cafe.
The fires in the early hours of Monday were at the Christchurch Transitional Cathedral (Cardboard Cathedral), Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses and the Beach Cafe and Wine Bar.
A 21-year-old man has been arrested and charged in relation to the three fires.
Police said the man was also facing charges of attempted arson at a church in Kaiapoi, burglary and wilful damage.
He is due to appear at the Christchurch District Court today.
