A 4.0 magnitude earthquake rocked Taumarunui this evening.
Geonet says the quake hit at 7.40pm, and caused generally weak shaking.

It was centered 45 kilometres south west of Taumarunui, at a depth of 18 kilometres.
The shaking was felt throughout the Taranaki region, and as far away as Palmerston North and Raglan.
