One person has died and three people were injured after a serious crash in Canterbury earlier today.

Police were called to a three-vehicle crash at the intersection of Plaskett Road and Oxford Road in Fernside about 3.55pm.
The three injured people were taken to Christchurch Hospital for treatment.
The road was closed earlier but has reopened.
