A person has been seriously injured in a crash in the South Auckland suburb of Ōtāhuhu.

Police said the single-car smash happened on Princes St East at 5.45am and emergency services were at the scene.
St John Ambulance said it treated two patients there, one in a moderate and one in a critical condition.
Police said a person had been taken to hospital with serious injuries.
