A woman was arrested in Rotorua last night, accused of pointing a gun at police, stealing a police car, and then crashing it.

Police said officers were approached by the woman in Whakarewarewa who pointed a gun at them about 9pm.
A spokesperson said she then took their car and crashed it shortly afterwards, in Wahiao Drive.
The woman was arrested and taken into custody.
No one was injured and the gun has been recovered.
