Pauanui Beach has reopened following up to three shark sightings this afternoon.

The Coromandel beach was closed for about three hours after swimmers were asked to get out of the water because of the sightings.
The sightings came two days after Kaelah Marlow, 19, died after being attacked by a shark at Waihī beach.
Surf Lifesaving New Zealand said their policy was to not open the beach until 30 minutes after the last sighting.
