One person has died after a single vehicle crash on the Twizel-Omarama Road in the Mackenzie District.

Police were called to the crash which involved a car towing a caravan about 12.30pm today.
One person died and another sustained injuries.
The road was expected to be closed for some time, and people should expect significant delays.
