Man arrested after Napier shooting

Police have searched a home after a shooting in Napier early this morning.

A 26-year-old man was arrested about 4pm after the firearms incident in Te Awa.

Hawke's Bay area commander Lincoln Sycamore said items of interests were found at the house.

The man is due to appear in the Hastings District Court tomorrow on charges, including discharging a firearm and failing to comply with conditions of a protection order.
