A search for two people missing in Manawatū River has been suspended overnight and will resume in the morning.

Emergency services were notified of the incident near Maxwell's Line in Palmerston North at 3.15pm.
Two people reportedly went underwater and failed to surface.
An air, water, and ground search had been underway today.
