Three people have been killed in crashes in the Waikato district today, two at Eureka and one in Waitoa.
Three others were injured in the three-vehicle crash in Eureka, one seriously and two moderately.
Emergency services were called to the scene just before 2pm.
State Highway 26 between Hamilton and Morrinsville was closed but reopened shortly after 9pm.

Police also confirmed one person died following a crash in Waitoa earlier today.
Police said the car and a truck were involved in the crash which occurred about 4:10pm on Waihekau Road.
The road remains closed near the intersection of Seddon Road and Chudleigh Road.
Police urged motorists to avoid the area if possible.
