British police have confirmed a body has been found in the search for missing New Zealander Joseph Day.
Avon and Somerset police say the man's body was located and recovered in the Avon Gorge in Bristol, late last night.
In a statement police said formal identification had not yet taken place but they had updated Joseph Day's family.
"Our hearts go out to them and we thank them for their patience while inquiries into the circumstances of death continue," the statement said. "We'd ask the public to avoid speculation and respect the privacy of Joseph's family at this time."
The 31-year-old had been living in Bristol with his fiancee Kelsey Mulcahy who reported him missing.
She had last heard from the former TVNZ cameraman on Saturday, when they had exchanged text messages, UK reporter Harriet Robinson told Morning Report.
"She assumed he had gone to bed early because he stopped replying and then she came home on Sunday to an empty house with Joseph's phone, wallet and keys missing.
"It was very out of character for Joseph to not be in contact with anyone.
"He was obviously a very well loved person within the TV industry, loads of tributes pouring out at the moment."
