A man has died and two people are injured following a single vehicle crash at Ōtaki on Kāpiti Coast.

Emergency services were called shortly after 1am when the car went off the road on Convent Road.
Police said one person died at the scene and the two other occupants were taken to hospital and both were in a moderate condition.
The Serious Crash Unit is investigating.
In the Napier suburb of Meeanee a man died after a single vehicle crash early this morning.
Police said the car crashed into a pole on Willowbank Road just before 4.30am and the victim was the vehicle's sole occupant.
