One person has died in a car crash in Taupō this morning.

A ute went off the road and crashed near the intersection of Centennial Drive and State Highway One in Rotokawa.
The crash was reported about 10.20am.
The northbound on-ramp onto the state highway remains closed, but the highway is open.
Meanwhile, a crash has blocked all lanes on State Highway 20-B eastbound from Auckland Airport towards State Highway 20 this evening.
Waka Kotahi said several vehicles were involved and emergency services had responded.
