Police are investigating the unexplained death of a woman in Hamilton overnight.

The woman was found unresponsive by a neighbour on Lake Road shortly after midnight.
First aid was given at the scene but the woman could not be revived.
Police said it was unclear how she died, and they are investigating.
A scene examination will happen today.
