Police are searching for a 27-year-old man wanted in connection with a west Auckland shooting on Sunday.
Jayden Haynes is considered dangerous and has a warrant out for his arrest.
Police were alerted to the firearms incident on Wattle Road in the suburb of Sunnyvale shortly after 1pm on 4 September.
A man was seriously hurt after being shot in his arm and leg and remains in hospital.
Police said their inquiries indicated this was not a random incident.
They warned anyone harbouring Haynes that they may face charges.
Police are also seeking sightings of a black Volkswagen Golf registration NWY742.
If anyone has information to provide police on Haynes' whereabouts, they should call 111, or 105 to provide information on the vehicle sightings.
