Five people have been injured in a crash involving multiple vehicles on Auckland's Upper Harbour motorway, State Highway 18.
The crash happened at Greenhithe about 7.30am, and two eastbound lanes were blocked while the scene was cleared.
Waka Kotahi advised about 9am that the lanes had reopened but motorists could expect delays as congestion eased.

Meanwhile, one person is in critical condition after a vehicle crashed into a tree in Western Bay of Plenty.
Emergency services were called to the scene at Te Matai Road, Te Ranga about 7.35am.
Diversions are in place with the road closed between Mark Road and Pyes Pa Road.
Police said the road was likely to be closed for several hours.
The Serious Crash Unit was at the scene.
