Palmerston North Airport was evacuated this afternoon because of unattended bags in the departure lounge.
Police were called about 1.30pm and the terminal was an evacuated as a precaution.
The airport was reopened about two hours later and police said the matter is resolved.
Two departing flights were cancelled and two other flights due to arrive were diverted to Wellington.
