Primary health care and Plunket nurses will walk off the job for four hours tomorrow, after more than a year of failed pay negotiations with their employers.
The nurses want to be paid the same as those employed by Te Whatu Ora.
College of Primary Health Care Nurses chairperson Tracey Morgan said they currently earn up to 20 percent less, and Māori and iwi provider nurses are up to 25 percent worse off.
"It's about respect and being valued for the work that we do out here in the community.
"It's no wonder we've got our primary healthcare nurses actually leaving us to go to Te Whatu Ora."
The nurses have rejected a 3 percent increase offer, and further talks have stalled because employers say they do not have enough government funding to offer any more.
They will strike between 10am and 2pm tomorrow.
