A male diver who went missing off Māhia Peninsula has been found dead.
Police said the diver was reported missing around 10.15am on Saturday.
An air and water search involving Coastguard and a helicopter was carried out in the Hawke's Bay region yesterday and continued today.
The diver was found by a Surf Lifesaving NZ crew around 10.30am this morning, police said.
"Police are working to support the man's family, as well as the man's diving companions."
The man's death would be referred to the coroner.
