A person is missing in Lake Roto Kohatu in Christchurch this evening after a canoe capsized.
Two occupants were in the canoe when it overturned, but only one was rescued.
Emergency services were called about 6.50pm.
The immediate area has been searched but the missing person has not been found.
The Police National Dive Squad has been notified and will continue the search tomorrow.
