Person seriously injured in multi-vehicle crash in Hawke's Bay

Emergency services are responding to a multiple vehicle crash on the Hawke's Bay expressway in Napier.

The incident occurred near the Meeanee Rd off-ramp at around 1pm.

A police statement said it was believed one person has been seriously injured.

The road is closed and diversions are in place.

Motorists are advised to avoid the area.
