Police are hunting Suntahna Kruz Pu, who faces charges including using a firearm against police and attempting to pervert the course of justice.
Pu, from Hamilton, was believed to still be in the area and should not be approached, police said.
He failed to appear in the Hamilton District Court on Thursday 1 February alongside a 33-year-old woman.
On 19 December 2022, the pair were alleged to have fired a gun at police.
They have been linked to people involved in a range of robberies across Hamilton, Te Awamutu and Cambridge in the same month, police said.
The woman was due to reappear in the Hamilton District Court on Thursday 2 March.
Police arrested eight young people in relation to the robberies.
Of those arrested, three were under 18 and being dealt with through youth services, five were facing charges in the courts.
