A pedestrian has died after being struck by a truck in central Dunedin on Friday morning.
The crash, near the intersection of Police and Crawford Street, was reported just before 8am.
Initial information suggests the truck hit the pedestrian, who died at the scene, before it collided with several vehicles and rolled, police said.
Motorists are asked to avoid the area with road closures expected to remain in place for several hours during the scene examination.
The Serious Crash Unit is attending.
