A teenager is in a stable condition after being shot in Auckland early this morning with injuries to his back and arms.
A police spokesperson said the 18-year-old male was driven to Auckland's Middlemore Hospital by a friend just before 4am.
The spokesperson said it appeared the shooting was not related to a drive-by shooting in Mount Wellington just after midnight.
In that incident, shots were fired at a house on Tomuri Place.
No-one was injured.
Police are investigating both incidents.
