Police are seeking the public's help to locate an elderly Auckland man missing since Tuesday.

Seong Wook Kal, 83, was reported missing yesterday evening, after he failed to return home from an appointment.

Seong, who is 165cm tall, left his Hobsonville home in his silver Honda Stream station wagon, registration GAQ583, yesterday morning.

The vehicle was last seen in the Grey Lynn area at 11.38am yesterday.

Police are concerned for Seong's well-being and would like to hear from anyone who had seen him since he was reported missing last night.

They said Seong usually wore a black cap and a dark vest and that he was bald, with white sideburns.
