Two people have died and a third was seriously injured in a crash in North Canterbury.
The crash on Domett Road (State Highway 1) in Hurunui was reported to police at 9.15pm on Wednesday.
Fire and Emergency said the crash involved two cars and the passengers were initially trapped in the vehicles.
The circumstances are being investigated.
